Charles W. Chapman, P.Eng.

Mr.Chapman graduated from the University of Alberta, Edmonton with a B Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1971 and is a recognized Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AUSIMM).

Chapman has greater than 32 years of oil and gas industry experience with major and junior oil and gas producers and engineering consulting firms.Areas of operational and/or evaluation experience include Western Canada, Northwest Territories, Eastern Canada (Ontario), Offshore Canadian east coast, United States, South America, Caribbean, England, France, Hungary, India, Indonesia, North and West Africa and Yemen.

Reservoir and production engineering experience was obtained initially while employed by Sun Oil Company Limited (Suncor) from May 1971 to February 1977. Experience included approximately two years in field locations followed by production and reservoir engineering duties with increasing responsibilities.

Mr. Chapman's background was further broadened with employment at Murphy Oil Company as a project engineer (February 1977 - February 1978) and as Canadian Division Engineer for Champlin Petroleum Company (UPRI), responsible for all petroleum engineering functions of the Canadian Division.

In November 1978, Mr. Chapman joined James A Lewis Engineering Co. Ltd., a major domestic and international petroleum consulting firm, where he assumed the responsibility of Project Leader performing corporate evaluation and reservoir engineering projects. In September 1981 he established and managed a Denver branch office for James A. Lewis Engineering Co. Ltd.

In November 1981 he returned from Denver to join Dynamar Energy Ltd., a growing junior oil & gas company, as Manager of Production and Engineering.

In January 1983 Mr. Chapman joined Capital Engineering Ltd., a newly established petroleum consulting firm, as Manager of Evaluations.

This led to the establishment of Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd., (Chapman) which Mr. Chapman founded in April 1985 and has been president of for the past 18 years. Chapman specializes in the evaluation of oil and gas properties and exploration/exploitation projects, production and reservoir engineering projects.

In March 2002, Mr. Chapman helped establish and is a partner in TransAction Oil & Gas Ventures Inc. This company was created to serve the property transaction and joint venture sectors of the oil and gas industry, partially in response to needs expressed by Chapman clients, and is being operated complementarily to Chapman's usual services.
